If you look at the image above that is an illustration of when Google Adsense approve your application, that’s image was made by me. [Note! The image above does not associate with Google, and made only for illustration purpose]
But this post is not going to talk about that illustration, because this time I wanna share with you guys, about how to make a blog (Your blog) get approved by Google Adsense. As you know that to get your blog approved by Adsense is not easy these days.
So in this post, I like to share with you, what you can do to make your blog qualified for Adsense and to earn some revenue while you doing what you love.
Actually, I’ve been in the decision that I am not going to put ads on my blog. But! I change my mind after pretty long studying traffic on my blog. Honestly, I feel it’s become unfair for me as a blogger and content publisher.
Seriously! just want to be honest, I did invest my time a lot just to experiment to find some ‘materials’ so I can publish content that I feel good enough on my blog (this blog) to provide it for my reader (You).
And even now, just right now I sill try my best to improve and to keep on doing it.
Any way! we all know that the most interest thing about blogging is when it becomes a fair game. And it happen only when all people get happy right? I am not trying to talk some BS here. (Sorry for my words)
But what I mean here is,
When the blog author working to provide good content and then the visitor/reader get information their need and they’re happy. Advertiser/company get their stuff published in the right place and they’re happy, then the author some revenue share as a publisher and the blog’s author feel happy too.
So, it’s fair right?! Everyone is happy.
But please take a note that I do put ads in this blog is not merely try to sell my reader (You) to collect some cash. No! I don’t! I won’t do this without providing good and useful content and makes everyone in a winwin situation.
Okay! I think enough for the chit-chat. But before we ‘dig’ more dep about how to make your blog/website get approval, let’s first find out what’s the problem that makes your blog ineligible for Adsense program and so on.
Things you need to get rid before join Adsense program
Most of the blogger didn’t realize about it and they think they all inset. Oops, probably not.
So here they are some of the things that you maywanna check on your blog if you want your blog get approved by Adsense. Below is the most common.
*) You have a copyright issue
- It could be files like images that you use in content blog
- You are using pirated themes or WordPress plugins
- You blogging about cracked softwares etc.
To solve issue #1, you can’t just grab any images you like from the internet. No! you can’t, most of the images on the internet have copyright protection. But there is some website that you can use their free license images. One of my recommended is Pixabay.com
Issue #2, Rather than using pirated blog themes that could risk your site get hacked, use the free ones. There is a lot of great and beautiful free themes. Or if you wanna buy a pro theme with a low price you can easily find it on sites like Envato Market. There re hundred themes collection start with $13 in price (for WordPress)
And to solve issue #3 Come on guys! There is a lot of other ideas for you to blog for.
*) You have other ads
You may need to know that not all ads can be placed along with Adsense. Mostly, ads that pop up every time visitor come to your blog. You know this kind of ads. If your blog ha ‘these ads’ on it, you likely won’t get approval by Adsense.
InfoLinks is one of ad that you can place along with Adsense.
*) You have inappropriate content or inappropriate word inside content.
About th kind of inappropriate word and content. You know what I mean!
What you need to get approved by Google Adsense
This is based on my experience, you know Google Adsense can change their terms at anytime so this is the most essential things that you must have in your blog.
1. A good design
What is good design for a blog?
It depends on the perspective!
And here, we talk in Adsense perspective, and one thing for sure Adsense love site that have easy navigation, clean and simple design, responsive and mobile friendly.
It’s not always a pro theme, but yeah! most of the pro themes are built in Adsense ready. Consider to invest it on your blog is wise. My recommendation is to find it on Envato Market there is a lot of choice with price from low to high.
2. Create pages for; Term of services, Disclaimer and Privacy policy
Its a must have page if you want to get approved by Google Adsense
And its essential for a professional blog.
In my previous post, I write a guide on how easily actually to create these pages. You can read here How to Create Pages for-Privacy policy, Disclaimers & TOS
3. Your blog is rich of content (articles/posts)
Make sure you have enough posts/articles beforehand, not only images and video only.
Minimal 600 plus words in every article is a standard for a blog to become eligible with the program. And at least you have 15 – 40 published posts before apply Adsense on your blog.
[Note!] Make sure your articles re valuable and useful for your audience.
4. Organic traffic
Your blog likely will hard to get approved by Google Adsense if you don’t have enough organic traffic from search engines.
So learn to apply SEO for your blog is a must to get traffics from search engines like Google, Bing and other search engines.
There is a lot of bloggers that share their experience about doing the right SEO to get more traffics on their blog including here at Digimanx.
5. You have engaged with your audience
One of the most important elements of blogging is the audience. When you start to engage with your audience Google will love your blog. What I mean here is, your visitor starting to interact and leave a .
This is not the main cause but when your blog has comments from real people. Then it will give a signal to Adsense that you have the .
6. Use your own domain name
What I mean here is to use custom domain names e.g yourdomain.com and not use the free domain e.g your domain.blogspot.com
If your blogging platform is logspot you can buy a cheap domain from Namecheap and then buy the web-hosting too.
I recommended Namecheap here because the first time I buy a domain is from them when I still usingBlogspot for blogging.
But, I highly recommend using self-hosted WordPress as your blog/website platform. You can read the about starting a blog with self-hosted WordPress here How to Start A Blog With WordPress
7. Use custom email to sign up
Don’t use your mail or any free email services to sign up, but use your custom email address that you get when you buy web-hosting e.g mail@yourdomain.com
If you use Gmail to sign up your Adsense account will become a hosted account and not premium. Ahosted account usually have less feature and need a long wait to get approved.
When you buy a Web hosting you will get a free custom email that you can use to sign up. My best recommendation for Web Hosting is SiteGround.
8. Times
And all that you need is times.
Keep on maintaining your blog and let it growth by the time. You know, it takes at least one month to make search engines like Google notice blog.
But according to Google panda update every six month, it could take more times.
Also to get your blog get known by your audience it takes time and yep! an effort.
So, slow down my friends.
Conclusion
When your blog start have organic traffics and you start engaging with your audience. Then your chance to get approval by Google Adsense is biger.
Adsense is the easiest and reliable way to monetize your blog while you are doing what you care and passionate about.
One thing you need to keep in mind is when get approved by Adsense is never try to cheating by clicking ads on your own blog or told someone do it, that will make you get banned.
