This post is a message for all companies or individual business owner who sell products or services on their websites. I am here not try to speak as Mr. Elon Musk fan or as a business expert. As Elon Musk fan maybe yes. But as a business expert, no I am not. Here, I speak as a costumer and of course I am here also speak as a blogger.
I write this post after a few times has canceled to buy a product or services that I love to buy. And the reason is because the website owner don’t accepting payment except by using credit card on their site. And my only online payment tools that I used was PayPal.
Ya! on some website perhaps already have PayPal as their payment processor. But! still need is need to be verified using a credit card. And that was just no different at all.
Personally I don’t use a credit card because in my place I live now, its really takes a long and really difficult process just to have ones. Beside other “personal” reason. What I mean here is not because I am one of those who believe that “Credit Card is Evil”
Or, .. ya! perhaps I do.
Anyway! I just want to be clear, and my message here maybe also represent of thousand peoples around the world that should becoming your next customer but canceled just because they don’t use credit card for their payment.
Here is the reason why you should consider to add PayPal as your alternative payment on your websites.
Not all people using credit card to pay things
Sad but true, but not all people convenient to use credit card as tool for online payment. Please take note! that I am not talking about religion stuff here. But! you must consider that in some believes, people avoid to buy stuff using credit card.
Thats why some of big companies like Apple and Amazon for example, have their own payment tools eg. Apple gift card, Amazon Gift Card. Because they knew about it from the beginning. That not all people will use credit card for many reason.
And like I’ve said before, In some country /region for having a credit card is must trough really tough process. And a policy and law on some country only let peoples with a kind of job that can easily to have it with ease. Once again, please take note! I am not talk about politics or discrimination here.
So if you want your product/services reach more peoples, please do more observation about it and consider to add an alternative payment method like PayPal on your websites. It surely will make it easy for everyone. And no party is harmed anyway! (Just sayin). And your sales definitely will increase for sure.
If you don’t trust me at least you trust your website analytics data. Please take your time to take study again on your website payment page. And you know exactly what I am talking about.
Just closing words and for conclusion
Maybe what I am talking here was wrong, because some of product and services maybe only targeted for specifics kind of customer and specifics country /region.
But for You business owner, who want your product 100% go globe, please make it easy for us and for yourself.
We don’t hate credit card, we just simply don’t need to use them.
