Like I’ve talking about before on my other previous post related hackintosh stuff that there will be some issue in hackintosh PC. Something like couldn’t sign in to iChat, FaceTime, iCloud, graphics won’t work properly, audio have no sound etc etc.
Those things happen especially when you make hackintosh on your existing computers e.g desktop/laptop. And don’t have any plan to build it from scratch by doing some research of which hardware that compatible and similar with the real Mac in the first hand to avoid most of issue.
Because there will be some hardware that incompatible with macOS to build your hacks on your computer. Especially graphics card (VGA) this is the most essential hardware part.
In this post I like to talk about things you should avoid that can make your hackintosh and your PC get ruined or even worst your PC mainboard could be dead.
No! I am not scaring you, I’ve experience it my self. It suck you know.
One of my main board was dead in the past because doing things for hackintosh experiment.
Using macOS Distro
I am not trying to be skeptic or sarcasm here. But that’s the truth.
There is no doubt that all people behind the OS-X distro is very skilful computer engineer. But the problem is the installer they’ve made is designed only for specific computers with the specific hardware.
And they seem to forcing the OS to work by tweaking most of essential component inside the SLE.
That’s really opposite with vanilla method that leave the os alone and only inject the kext from the outside of the OS using boot loader eg. Clover, Chameleon/Enoch.
So your PC must be suffer if not meet their criteria for sure.
And one more thing, You couldn’t direct upgrade your hackintosh from App Store if you are using distro.
Miss used config.plist to make iMessage & Face Time work
I use ‘Miss used’ word to describe pushing to much, or something like that.
Oh c’mon! guys! Don’t rape your machine just to force it to make iMessage & FaceTime work by using system uuid generator etc in config.plist that will only torching your PC and end with this sign ? on your hackintosh screen. whoops!
The only thing known to make iMessage and Face Time work is using real mac MLB (Main Logic Board) serial number. And that’s definitely you can say an illegal practice. You better not do it.
Please don’t waste your time on it. I bet even if it work you will likely not not much using it anyway.
Overclocking too much
Overclocking your machine may could make your machine run faster like hell. But if not wise setting it. Your machine will burn like hell too.
Because it will generate overheat. When PC component too much getting hit by heat they will die sooner. You may can trick it with water cooler fan but you have to spend more budget. Now your wallet get burn.
Its okay if you are overclocking your machine with a proper setting just to running windows OS. But it’s hackintosh it’s different, so be careful.
Too much using un necessary or injected kext in SLE
Most of peeps using un necessary kext in their SLE just to make bluetooth, Wifi, Audio etc works. Sadly most of the method out there is not work.
Also like I’ve mention above that mostly hackintosh issue is in VGA card. Rather than using kext inject method why not replace it with the hackintosh compatible ones. Here is the link for Working Graphics Cards For Hackintosh You can found some of inexpensive Graphics card that hackintosh ready.
