Okay, this is how to set up UEFI BIOS on the older Motherboard generation for Hackintosh. Here I use a motherboard that I’ve successfully installed macOS Monterey on it as an example and reference, which is Gigabyte LGA 1155 H61M S2P R3 – DDR3.
So, if you have a different or newer motherboard you will get an idea of how to set the BIOS for Hackintosh. Note! this setting is for UEFI BIOS. For you guys who use the legacy motherboard and need to install an older macOS version please read the post here: BIOS Setting and Post-installation Setup.
Setting UEFI BIOS for Hackintosh
To start setup your PC BIOS for Hackintosh, restart your PC and press the ‘Del’ key or ‘F1’ key on your keyboard to enter the bios setup (Some mobo may have different keyboard keys).
Once you are inside the PC BIOS configuration, go to the Advance setting, then change these BIOS Settings!

That’s it!
As it is important to boot the macOS on a non-Mac computer aka Hackintosh PC to boot nicely, that’s how to set the UEFI BIOS. Other settings are optional, as long as it doesn’t make macOS couldn’t boot.
Hope this post is useful for you guys, especially if you are having an old-generation motherboard like mine. For a tutorial on how to create macOS Big Sur & Monterey and to properly tweak the config.plist file please read the guide here.
Thanks 🙂
