Recipe For Creating Successful Blog [Case Study]

Hello! in this post I want to share with you guys, my recipe for creating a successful blog in 2019 and forward.

Is based on what I’ve done with some of “experiment” and case study by creating a few blogs to learn what works and what doesn’t.

In another blog, I talk in a specific niche, other blogs covering multi-niche in one place. And guess what, all the myth about specific niche blog that you ever know is not all of them true. And I have to say the truth, that most of them are just bulls#!t.

Now, Google and another search engine likely prefer to put a blog/site with a brand name on the search result rather than a blog that using keywords in their name and URL.

I think it because there are so many spammy sites that also using the keyword for site name and URL.

So! What Is Successful Blog?

What I mean here with a successful blog is not just merely in the financial stuff. But more successful in the branding, engagement and yes! traffics! … organic traffics.

Yep! if you can be successful to make your blog become your authentic brand then it will be the “#1 engine” for your blog to become successful in financial too for sure, or… at least it easy for you to find a way how to monetize it.

My recipe may not instantly make you became “a millionaire blogger” in one night. But with this recipe, you may breakthrough as I did.

Short story, a year ago I thought it was impossible and I even almost give up in the first year running this blog. Thankfully, slow but sure the blog that I create a year ago now starts getting better and bigger.

The first year is always the hardest process to build a blog, but if you have enough patience and can pass it, you will see the result afterward, is not a guarantee but is a fact.

So, how to do this? I mean how to create a high-quality blog that can become your second income generator. While you still can have the freedom to do other things that you love and passionate about.

Here, I will share my simple secret recipe on how to make extra money from blogs and do it in simple and the right way. So you don’t have to make unnecessary mistakes as I did. And grow faster, better and save a lot of your time and money.

But yeah! How you can make your goal come true it all depends on your effort too. Here I just show you the way …

The Plan

Plan everything from the beginning, that’s the key to create a successful blog. If you don’t have a solid plan then make it first, learn and do research first.

Never get a hurry to buy this buy that before you found the solid plan for what and where you gonna bring your blog in the future. So you don’t have to waste your money and time to invest in.

Yep, investing money for good resources is great but without a better plan, it’s a joke.

My best advice is to combine something that you passionately about, … something that you really love into your plan.

So, when you start to run your blog, you will enjoy every process and do it with “fun.”

Monetizing Blog

It is also important, what your plan to monetize your blog in the future? Is it by selling your own product or service? by doing affiliate marketing or put ads on it?

That’s three most makes sense way on how to monetize a blog if you are not running a big company.

If you have a product to sell on your blog, that’s great! that’s how most people make money from a blog.

Don’t have your own product to sell? no problem! you can offer products from affiliate networks such as Amazon, ShareASale, etc. There is many many other affiliate networks that you can join that suitable for your blog content.

My advice about working as an affiliate is, always be honest to your audience and boldly disclose to them that you are working as an affiliate.

“For example, in this post, I will disclose that I also will recommend a product and services to you to build a better blog. You will get the right resource and I get a little commission to provide you with the right information that I have test my self to build my own blog, this blog. It may sound cheesy, but that’s the truth and it’s fair and everyone wins”

Plus, you can combine affiliate marketing with placing an Ads on your blog. Such as Google Adsense or InfoLinks etc just like what I did.

Use The Best Resource You Can Afford To Build Successful Blog

“If you want the best result, find the best resources that you can afford.”

My recommendation:

Choose self-hosted WordPress as your CMS platform. Why WordPress?
Because it’s proven very good for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and it most used CMS platform out there for DIY blogging. It is customizable and it’s flexible.

If you know how to code, it is good but if you don’t know how to code is okay there are thousands of plugins that you can install for DIY WordPress customization. Trust me, once you use WordPress you’ll fall in love with it 🙂

Use a good and fast Web Hosting to host your WordPress blog such as SiteGround

Important! Also make sure to choose the catchy name for your domain, when your domain name is short and catchy, is good for branding purpose and will easy to remember too.

Depend on the situation, eight characters are good or at least not more than ten characters. Less than eight characters domain name usually very expensive (Premium domain-name)

Pick the right WordPress Theme

It’s a must to learn how to use self-hosted WordPress especially for DIY blogging, so you can take the full advantage of Using WordPress. You always can learn it while in the process of running your new blog, and then you can turn your experience into the content.
