Upgrading your Hackintosh from Monterey to macOS Ventura is really tempting. But! I decide to stay in macOS Monterey. Why? there are a few reasons that hold me. Not because I haven’t tried, I have tried actually.
I’ve tried to do a direct upgrade as I did before when I did a direct upgrade from Big Sur to Monterey. And yep! it failed. Maybe by doing some trick and it could be done but no! I decide to stay with Monterey.
Here’s why …
macOS Ventura is a sign of Hackintosh will END
Sad but true, since Apple launched Apple ARM-based processor M1 – M2 and the list goes on, soon or later they may drop support for the old Mac product that uses an Intel-based CPU. Just like they did by ditching NVIDIA GPU from their newest product.
That means, there is no chance for you guys to Hackintoshing the future macOS release. Now you may still successfully install Ventura on your computer-based Intel/AMD proc. But when the next macOS release only supports ARM-based proc. Then that’s using future macOS on your Hackintosh computer will end.
Considering the issue
macOS Ventura is the starting point of the transition for Apple’s move from Intel to ARM chip. So, you should consider the issue if you were installing macOS Ventura on your Hackintosh PC.
It may break some of your PC hardware. Even tho, it does happen to the real ‘old’ Mac computer, as I’ve read on the official OC Legacy Patcher site.
Talk about OC Legacy Patcher, they even warn and advise their user to stay in Monterey. Especially if you are using NVIDIA GPU. So, I don’t want to take the risk, because I depend on the OC Legacy patcher to make my graphics card work.
I think I better wait for the future release of OC LP that support macOS Ventura 100%, till then I will stay in Monterey. Besides all of that, my Hackintosh PC is a mid-low-end PC build.

Just thought
Anyway, I don’t know about you guys, did you have to install macOS Ventura on your Hackintosh PC, and does it fine without any issues? or, you were just like me choosing to keep on Monterey and wait for the OC Legacy patcher to confirm that their newest release is ready 100% for Ventura?
Please leave your thought in the comment below I really like to know and I really appreciate that, Thanks 🙂

Ditto.
I decided the same a week ago, after failing many times.
