Here we found some of Virtual Bass software that you can use in your favorite DAW as VSTi plugin.

Usually, …

Some of DAW softwares are come with bunch of VSTi plugins. Including virtual bass of course. That, you can record a midi sound with it. Whether using a Midi controller or just using your computer’s keyboard.

But, if you want it to have it 100% realistic sounding bass then it will need a lot of effort to make it happen.

Because mostly, the built in VSTi plugin in DAW software is good to create an electronics kind of music.

If you use it to make a music that wasn’t electronic e.g. Metal, Rock, Blues, Jazz etc. Then it will sound weird for sure.

So the solution is by using Virtual Bass (Instrument) that have a decent and realistic sound.

And here they are! we found some of Virtual Bass software that known have a realistic sound just like real Bass Players virtuoso.

IK Multimedia – MODO Bass

MODO Bass by IK Multimedia is known as the first modeled virtual bass software based on real physical instrument.

Because the authenticity and the accuracy of the sound. Literally, when you use MODO Bass plugin it is almost the same if you hire a real Bass Player.

You can even choose the style of bass sound like Finger, Slap, Picking or Muting.

Choosing what pickup or what Bass model that you want to use in your track is possible using NODO Bass. And many more … below is the video overview of this nasty Virtual Bass by IK Multimedia.

Ujam Virtual Bassist

UJam Virtual Bassist come in three version. Despite of what you need to use it on a Hard Rock music or Jazz.

The three software version is:

  • Mellow –  Is a double bass playing jazzy acoustic hipster. That provides body, texture and a big bottom end they said.
  • Royal – Perfect for pop, ready to rock n roll, impressive on indie music and smooth on singer/songwriter material.
  • And Rowdy – a picked overdriven electric bass sounds suitable for a variety of styles, ranging from powerful punk to red-hot rock and modern metal.

So choose one of these three version of UJAM virtual Bass software for your project. Or buy or try em all it’s up to you. And you will have a nice sounding Bass line for your track.

The Loki Bass

Just like Ujam Virtual Bass and MODO Bass by IK Multimedia. The Loki Bass by Solemn Tones is also a midi bass sampler based program.

The different is the price is more bit affordable than Ujam and MODO. But don’t get me wrong the bass sound is also killer as well.

The Loki Bass software come with EQ settings for Low, Mid High. Four instant setup for: Crank, Raw, Enforce and Key switches along whit Humanize knob.

Note and conclusion

Okay guys, that’s three Virtual Bass software on our list that you can use one oh them on your music project or whatever.

I am not a make a bunch of Virtual Bass software lists because I don’t want to confuse you by the way. And ya! because we are not a Lists maker Blog.

Personally, I’d like to record a real Bass guitar sound or by a real Bass player. Even if it from DI Bass and then using Bass Amp Simulator plugins for the sound. It more natural and have more dynamic tone and sound in my opinion.

What do you think? Please let me know what’s your opinion in the comment section bellow.

Anyway! Hope you found this post useful and thanks for read. Peace 🙂
