Can you use Blogger Blogspot as an online store? I mean like a real mini online store to sell your own product?
Mostly, a plain answer you’ll get when you attempt to turn your blog on Blogger into e-commerce is … No, you can’t, Blogger is only for blogging.
The good news is, YES you actually can!
So how to do it while the Blogger platform is actually not for kind for this purpose.
Turn your Blogger blog into online store
With a little help, no a big help actually, you can do this with the help from Ecwid store platform. You could turn your Blogger blog into a personal online store.
Their system is great, everything is automatic and you can control your business right from the Ecwid dashboard.
Before I continue I want to disclaim that I am not endorsed or get paid by Ecwid. I write this post because I use the Ecwid platform myself for one of my Blogger blogs.
So, how to use the Ecwid platform and connect it with the Blogger blog?
Using the Ecwid store platform on Blogger is very simple. What you need to do first is just sign up into the Ecwid website it’s free.
Then, once you are done with the signup process, in your Ecwid dashboard click on the Add your store to a website or social network panel.
Next, choose to add the Ecwid store to Custom website. Then just click on the blue button Copy code to Clipboard. To copy your Ecwid store code.
Continue to log in to your Blogger Blogspot account and paste the code to a page you want your store to appear. Make sure you switch to HTML mode in the Blogger page editor.
And click Publish or save it as a draft first if you are not ready to publish it yet.
Edit your Ecwid store
Go back to your Ecwid dashboard this time click on the next panel Add your products or services.
Right there, edit the default sample product with your own products. Replace the sample image with your own product image, edit your product name, description, and so on.
Edit the General settings
When you are done editing your product’s entry, go back again to the dashboard. This time click on the Review the regional settings.
In the regional settings, fill your Store Profile credential like your store name, your store email, your store/company address, etc. Just fill em with the correct information about your store.
In the next tab, the Regional tab set the currency that you will use in your store. Also, edit your store Language and so on and so on. See the example below.
Continue with fill all the next tab. Chart & Checkout, Legal Pages if it required. Just set em all with valid info.
You can also include your blogger analytics too if you plan for Remarketing with Google Ads in the future.
Setup how your product will be delivered
If you were selling a digital good/none physical product like me you may skip this step. But if you selling a physical product click on the panel Choose how to deliver your goods.
Then choose how you want to deliver your product. By using automatic rates carriers like UPS, FedEx, international Post, a Local delivery, etc.
Set the Payment
Last, set how you want to get paid by set the payment method. Go back to the Ecwid dashboard and click on the Setup payment options panel.
Right here you can choose to receive payment by PayPal, Credit Card, etc. Even you can choose to use 50+ alternatives payment methods that available on Ecwid.
And you are done, your Blogger Blogspot store now live.
Note & others
You also will get a free instant website on Ecwid too. BTW, Ecwid is the best platform I can found that can be integrated into Blogger Blogspot and work just great. Ecwid will automatically blend with your blog theme, the color scheme, etc.
It will work best if you also consider using a responsive Blogger theme too. If you are interesting, you can check the latest Blogger theme that I design myself that optimized for Ecwid. Yeah, I use Ecwid too to offer the themes on my site that are also using the Blogger platform.
