Hackintosh Usb Bootable Made in Windows for macOS High Sierra Error

Hackintosh Usb Bootable Made in Windows for macOS High Sierra Error

Bad news guys!

Perhaps me that still couldn’t find the way or it just won’t work anymore. Or maybe because of me that too tired, I don’t know.

But for sure method for creating macOS from Windows PC using Boot Disk Utility (BDU) no longer works on High Sierra final version, it ends with an error.

You know, that method I’ve use for all previous version of macOS working like a charm but unfortunately, it won’t work no more in the latest OS.

The weird thing is it has no issue when I create the USB bootable for the developer beta version and test it on the same machine.

Just like you see in the featured image above. That I’ve been dealing with an error message in macOS installer said that;

macOS couldn’t installed on your computer

The path /System/Installation/Packages/OSInstall.mpkg appears to be missing or damage.

And then asking to restart my computer.

I think it’s caused by new Apple APFS as default macOS file system, besides the macOS App Installer that has different files structure.

So guys, the only way, if you want to install this OS on your Hackintosh is by creating the USB installer using vanilla installation method for macOS Sierra first, and then upgrade it to high Sierra.

You can read the post about how to do it and avoid the issue in my previous post here is the link https://digimanx.com/hackintosh-direct-upgrade-from-macos-sierra-to-high-sierra/

You can always use my config.plist settings and all the kext I’ve used for my hack that work really really well even on a PC based core2 duo processor.

And if you are a new reader of this blog and want to create USB bootable from your Windows PC you can follow the guide in this article How to make macOS X  bootable usb drive from windows

I still haven’t try to make USB bootable from my Hackintosh and find out if it has the same issue or not.

So if you guys have succeeded to create the final version of High Sierra USB installer from windows whatever you follow my method or others method. Please let me know in the comment below.

Okay! I think enough for now, maybe this is the shortest post that I ever wrote in this blog. But who cares anyway!

Thanks for stopping by to read my post and once again please feel free to leave a comment below and we can discuss it together.

?

PS. I write this post spontaneously so maybe I will occasionally update it.
