Tube Screamer is known really good to boost the guitar amp and make it sound tighter and better. But is the VST plugin of the famous Tube Screamer emulation has the tone as the real one?
In this post, I will list some of the Tube Screamer VST plugins that I’ve tried. In my opinion, they do sound good and sound real. And they are free plugins. So, nothing to lose to try them all if it is necessary.
Okay, here they are;
TSE 808 Tube Screamer VST Plugin by TSE Audio
My number one list of the Tube Screamer VST plugin emulation is TSE 808 by TSE Audio. The latest series I checked is TSE 808 v2.0.1.
It is a free plugin you can download from the official TSE Audio website. As a free series plugin, the TSE 808 Tube Screamer VST sounds great. It based on the real circuit of the famous Tube Screamer.
The plugin is available for Mac and Windows. Download the TSE 808 v2.0.1 from the official site HERE.
Tubes Creamer 808 by Mercuriall
Next is the Tube Screamer emulation plugin by Mercuriall called Tubes Creamer 808 Core. The plugin is emulated from the real circuit of the Ibanez TS-808 Tube Screamer pedal.
Has the toggle switch on it UI for “808” to “Mod” for you getting more cleaner and low-end sound. The plugin is available for Mac and Windows.

A classic Ibanez Tube Screamer by Requietus
The last one is a plugin by the Requietus blog. A classic Ibanez Tube Screamer Pro TS808 emulation.
The plugin comes in a bundle along with another pedal emulation such as Boss OverDrive pedal, an Amp Simulator (Marshall JCM900), etc. The VST plugin bundle is called the Simulanalog Guitar Suit. GUI.

And that’s all three free Tube Screamer pedal emulation plugin that I’ve tried and still use it. Mostly, I use the TSE 808 by TSE Audio.
