On October 25, 2021, after receiving the exciting news about the official release of macOS Monterey, I decided it was time to upgrade my Hackintosh computer from the previous version, Big Sur, to the new and improved Monterey. But later on to ensure a smooth transition, I opted for a clean USB installation method, which I believe provides a more streamlined experience.
As part of my efforts, I also took the time to write and share a post on my blog detailing the process of creating a macOS Monterey USB installer, as I thought it would be helpful for others looking to make the same upgrade.
And yeah, I’ve share post on how to create macOS Monterey USB installer too in this blog. You can found it on this page: How to Install macOS Big Sur & Monterey on Hackintosh PC with Opencore – Easy Way!

Did Any Lag or crash Experience on my Hackintosh running macOS Monterey
You my wonder, did I have experiencing crash or lag?
So far, I have not experienced serious issues with lag or crashes. Occasionally, some apps crash, but it happens rarely. Have been doing direct upgrade few times and everything is fine. You can watch the video on how I direct upgrade macOS on hackintosh below.
The Reason I stick with Monterey As My Operating System
So why I’m not try to upgrade to latest macOS version?
No, I don’t want to because it doesn’t work with my computer setup, which still uses an LGA 1155 motherboard and an Intel Core i3 processor. Even to running macOS Ventura on it is impossible. So, I’ll stick with Monterey for the next few years. So, nope! I’ll stick with monterey for few years ahead.
Hint: At this time I still running version 12.6.2 of macOS Monterey.

Is There Any Hardware Issue?
No, I’ve never had any hardware issues except for the Wi-Fi extension, which requires experimenting with different USB dongles to see what works. For information on which Wi-Fi dongle works, please read this post here: Easy Solution for Wifi not working on macOS
