2017 Survive Blog And Welcome 2018 (1 Year Blogging Insights)

This blog have running for one year now, yeah! its hard but I can pass trough the difficult times. At 7-December-2017 was the date where Digimanx turn 1 years old because I buy the domain name and web-hosting in 6-December-2016 and officially launch the site right in the next day (7-December-2016)

Well, I should write post about it in the site birthday but I’ve got sick, cold and cough and I just couldn’t write about it. You know, headache and your vision become blurry etc. I refuse to use medicine so it need more time for me to cure my self.

But anyway! the important is I am back! and I just do it right now write post about it now in January 2018. Here I want to share my journey about how I running this blog alone and how I overcome any of frustration and keep on survive.

Maybe my story can give you some inspiration and motivation if you are just starting career as a blogger. As you may didn’t know, that I even never take any colleges, and my English is very very limited as I learn it mostly by my self.

But I made it!

So here are a few of ‘my journal’ that I like to share to

Writing posts with limited English skill

As I have talk in my previous post that this is not my first blog using English as primary language but this blog is the first time I create blog and take it for serious, what I mean here is I try my best to create a professional blog with English as primary language.

And with all my limitation in English I take any of risk of my blog being failed. But magically this blog is quite success in weird ways. Not in financial /income yet! but this blog has capable to stands out along with all the ‘giant websites’ out there.

Maybe I am lucky? I don’t know! the truth is with all posts I’ve wrote even with plain English or you can say ‘Easy English’ Digimanx could break the SEO myth and successfully achieve good position in Google search result in any niches that we talk about.

So there is no reason for blogger to be afraid for expressing their thought through blog posts. My secret here is, always try to write for human and never write for search engines. Because the most common mistake made by blogger is they try to write post with too much technical SEO and end with their content ranked bad because they write it for search engines and not for human.

Here, I am not saying to ignore SEO but to use it as necessary. That my best advice I can give right now.

And if English is your everyday language then I bet you can do it better than me.

Just look at me… if I can then you can too!

Learning by doing

Not only as a motto of this blog, Learning by doing also something that I also implemented to my everyday life too. But in context on growing blog this is my super ‘Mantra’ for creating content for my blog.

And also the motivation for me to keep learning how to write in English while I keep on develop my English in the same time.

I avoid for writing content that I never try it my self, even if I could. The reason is, I want to provide a useful information that has proven it works. And that’s the spirit of Digimanx.

No matter the content is only a simple tutorial for solving a little things for everyday issue about computers etc. So most of tutorials in this blog is the result of learning by doing.

Anyway! the point is, it must be useful. And everyone is win!

Accomplished goals

When this blog have run about 3 month I start thinking of how do I monetize my blog in the future? You know if blog have no income then soon or later the blog will die. Thats the truth.

So here I want to be transparent as possible that in this blog I also sometimes recommend to my audience (You) some of product through my affiliate links. From there I will get a commission, thats one of how I monetize this blog.

And one of great accomplished goals in 2017 was I successfully approved by Amazon affiliate program.

As most of traffic I get is from US and thats become my decision to join Amazon associate to find opportunity for generate income for this blog in order to make this blog survive of course.

And as a non US citizen, it’s great achievement when you accepted to become Amazon affiliate. As you know, to be approved for the program you must made 3 sell in 180 days.

I really say big thank to persons who purchase from Amazon through my affiliate links. I do really appreciate you for putting trust on me even you know that I am not live in US. Once again thank you!

One another goals in 2017 is my blog get approved by Google Adsense. That’s also will help me to survive in the future.

And here I also want to confirm that I am not going to sell products like a mad man in every posts I write. My main goal here is to provide a good content first and everyone must be in win win situation.

Deal with frustration

Just like all of you guys, I also deal with a lot of frustration, I even almost give up in month of 6th for running this blog.

I said at the time that, “oh it’s too hard for me”… “darn! I am on mission impossible …” something like that. But when I look back what I’ve done so far I said to my self that ‘I can’t quit now! ‘I must keep on going no mater what’

And yeah! with all energy I have I keep pushing my self farther, Thank God I did.

People starting to leave a comment etc. And yeah thats the best blogging goal, when you finally engage with peoples right?

So for you all blogger friends out there, Never give up on your dream! You can make it if you can pass through and deal with all kind of frustration. Just be patient …

I don’t get my ROI back, but it’s okay

Honestly, I don’t get my investment back for build this blog so far

Surprise surprise!

But it’s okay, that won’t stop me to grow this blog.

I will keep this blog running no matter what. You never know how this blog could be, in the future. So I keep on my faith.

Helping people solve their annoying little problem is feels good, and could engage with my audience (You) is the best ROI that I can get.

Keep on going

I have no choice accept keep on going, no matter how this blog will become in the future. Become a great or stay casual? no problem.

The important thing is no matter how far I can bring this blog in the future, it must be something that can inspired peoples.

That everything is possible, no matters what your limitation is, if you put your ass to work on it. It will become something.

Okay! I hope my short story will give you some insight of how to survive your blog in 2018 especially if you just start growing your new blog. Hope my story can encourage you and inspired you as well.

Just look at me my friends, I even never take any colleges, I even drop out from High School and you can say my English is very terrible.

But I am not afraid to try, the key is keep on educate yourself and take advantage of this era of information. But always remember to put a filter on it, we can’t just consume all that kind information without ‘peeling’ it first.

My advice is, keep open your mind to learn something new, read book, read more books! and keep on ‘Learning by doing’ and always motivate yourself because no one will do that better than yourself.
