In this post I want to show you how to setting All in one SEO pack plugin for WordPress blog that will improve your page rank on Google. It’s not instantly make every content on your site get in to Google first page, but it’s also depends on how you craft your blog content.
However, by doing this tweak of All in One SEO Pack settings, it really help to get in there.
As you may had heard that All in One SEO Pack is most popular SEO plugin for WordPress. This plugin is used by professional SEOs, but is very easy for anyone like you and me to use it right out of the box.
With this awesome plugin you can improving your WordPress blog on Google search engine results just like a PRO!
Okay! enough for the chit chat, this is how I setup All in one SEO pack plugin:
All in One SEO Pack General Settings
In general settings, I just let the setting by default and leave it just the way it is. So lets skip it to the next settings!
In Home page settings write your site name and Home description, write a nicely and catchy description about your site.
Most of search engine is use maximum characters of 160, so write it beautifully. Below is example of my settings for my Home Page.
I am sure you can do it better than me.
If your theme have Static Front Page, choose Enable to use it.
This is a custom title settings that I use for my blog. What I do is just replace the Vertical pipe symbols ( | ) with Hyphen symbols ( – )
Something like this: %page_title% | %blog_title% to 👉 %page_title% – %blog_title%
Note! do not change any of ‘Underscore’ ( _ ) symbols. See screen shot below for example.
Custom Post Type Settings
In my custom post type settings in SEO on only these post types section I enable for Post, Page and Media.
For Enable Advance Option section I choose Enable and check for Custom Title. see screen shot below
It’s better leave the display settings by default.
You can follow the tutorial how to enables webmaster verification by clicking help on right top ( ? ) button. If your site is already verified, you can just leave it alone.
In Google Settings I put my personal G + profile.
I also put in my Google Analytics ID.
In Noindex Settings I check for Use noindex for Tag Archives, for Search page and 404 page. I just leave other settings by default.
Leave other settings like Advance Settings and Keyword settings by default.
And click Update Option to save the settings.
Settings for posts snippets
When All in one SEO Pack installed in your WordPress blog, bellow every of your post editor will have a new boxes for post snippet setting.
In that boxes you can customize how your post title and description will appear in Search engine page. See screen shot below for example.
Custom Settings for Specific Pages
Don’t worry search engines bot will understand. See screen shot below.
That’s my settings of All In One SEO Pack plugin for my blog, and that’s the way I use the plugin to get my ‘dirty works’ done.
