If you look at the image above that is an illustration of when Google Adsense approve your application, thats image was made by me. [Note! The image above have not associated with Google, and made only for illustration purpose]
But this post is not going to talk about that illustration, because this time I wanna share with you guys, about how to make a blog (Your blog) get approved by Google Adsense.
As you know that to get your blog approved by Adsense is not easy these days.
So in this post I like to share with you, what you can do to make your blog qualified for Adsense and start earn some revenue while you doing what you love.
Like you see, my blog now have a nice looking with those pretty ads by Google Adsense.
Ehem! [Cough] Thank you Google!
Actually I’ve been in the decision that I am not going to put ads on my blog. But! I change my mind after pretty long studying traffic on my blog. Honestly I feel it’s become unfair for me as a blogger and content publisher.
Seriously! just to be honest, I did have invest my time a lot just to experiment to find some ‘materials’ so I can publish content that I feel good enough on my blog (this blog) to provide it for my reader (You).
And even now, just right now I sill try my best to improve and to keep on doing it.
Any way! we all know that the most interest thing about blogging is when it become a fair game. And it’s happen only when all people get happy right? I am not trying to talk some BS here. (Sorry for my words)
But what I mean here is,
When the blog author working to provide a good content and then the visitor/reader get information their need and they happy. Advertiser/company get their stuff published in the right place and they happy, then the author get some revenue share as a publisher and the blog’s author feel happy too.
So, it’s fair right?!
But please take a note that I do put ads in this blog is not merely try to sell my reader (You) to collect some cash. No! I don’t! I won’t do this without providing a good and useful content and makes everyone in a win win situation.
Okay! I think enough for the chit-chat. But before we ‘dig’ more deep about how to make your blog/website get approval, let’s first find out what’s the problem that makes your blog ineligible for Adsense program and so on.
Things you need to get rid
Most of blogger didn’t realize about it and they think they all in set. Ooops probably not
So here they are some of thing that may you wanna check on your blog before join Adsense program. Below is the most common
*) You have a copyright issue
- It could be files like images that you use in content blog
- You are using pirated themes or WordPress plugins
- You blogging about cracked softwares etc.
To solve the issue #1 you can’t just grab any images you likes from internet. No! you can’t, most of images on the internet are have a copyright protection. But there is some website that you can use their free license images. One of my recommended website is Pixabay.com
Issue #2 Rather than using pirated blog themes that could risk your site get hacked use a free ones. There is a lot of great and beautiful free themes. Or if you wanna buy a pro themes with a low price you can easily find it on sites like Envato Market. There is hundred themes collection start with $13 in price (for WordPress)
And to solve issue #3 Come on guys! There is a lot of other idea for you to blogging for.
*) You have other ads
You may need to know that not all ads can be placed along with Adsense, mostly ads that pop up every time when visitor come to your blog, you know these kind of ads. If your blog already have ‘these ads’ on it, you likely won’t get approval by Adsense.
Chitika is one of ads advertising network that you can place along with Adsense.
*) You have inappropriate content or inappropriate word inside content
About these kind of inappropriate word and content. You know what I mean!
What you need to get approved by Google Adsense
This is based on my experience, you know Google Adsense can change their terms at anytime so this is the most essential things that you must have in your blog.
1. A good design
What is good design for a blog?
It depends on the perspective!
And here, we talk in Adsense perspective, and one thing for sure Adsense love site that have an easy navigation, clean and simple design, responsive and mobile friendly.
It’s not always a pro themes, but yeah! most of pro themes are built in Adsense ready, considered to invest it on blog is a wise. My recommendation is to find it on Envato Market there is a lot of choice with price from low to high.
Its a must have page if you want to get approved by Google Adsense
And its essential for a professional blog.
3. Your blog is rich of content (articles/posts)
Make sure you have enough posts/articles before hand, not only images and video only.
Minimal 600 plus words in every articles is a standard for blog that need to become eligible with Adsense program. And at least you have 15 – 40 published posts before apply Adsense on your blog.
[Note!] Make sure your articles is valuable and useful for your audience.
4. Organic traffic
Your blog likely hard to get approved by Google Adsense if you don’t have a enough organic traffic from search engines.
So learn to apply SEO for your blog is a must to get traffics from search engines like Google, Bing and other search engines.
There is a lot of bloggers that share their experience about doing the right SEO to get more traffics on their blog including here at Digimanx.
5. You have engaged with your audience
One of most important element of blogging is audience. When you start engage with your audience Google will love your blog. What I mean here is, your visitor start to interact and leave comment.
This is not the main cause but when your blog have comment from real people then it will give a signal to Adsense that you have audience.
6. Use your own domain name
What I mean here is to use custom domain names e.g yourdomain.com and not use the free domain e.g your domain.blogspot.com
If your blogging platform is blogspot you can buy a cheap domain from Namecheap and then buy the web-hosting too.
I recommended Namecheap here, because the first time I buy domain is from them when I still using blogspot for blogging.
But! I highly recommended to use self hosted WordPress.org as your blog /website platform. You can read post about starting blog with self hosted WordPress here How to Start A Blog With WordPress
7. Use custom email to sign up
Don’t use your gmail or any free email services to sign up, but use your custom email address that you get when you buy web-hosting e.g firstname.lastname@example.org
If you use gmail to sign up your Adsense account will become a hosted account and not premium. Hosted account usually have less feature and need a long wait to get approved.
When you buy a Web hosting you will get a free custom email that you can use to sign up. My best recommendation for Web Hosting is SiteGround.
And all that you need is times.
Keep on maintaining your blog and let it growth by the time. You know, it takes at least one month to make your new blog get notice by search engines like Google.
But according to Google panda update every six month, it could be take more times.
Also to get your blog get known by your audience it takes time and yep! an effort.
So, slow down my friends.
When your blog start to have organic traffics and you start engaging with your audience then your chance to get approval by Google Adsense is more big.
Adsense is the most easy and reliable way to monetize your blog while you are doing what you care and passionate about.
One thing you need to keep when get approval is never try to cheating by clicking ads on your own blog or told someone do it, that will make you get banned.
For more about Adsense terms and policies, you can read on Adsense Policies FAQs.
And one thing for sure it’s not something that make you get rich quick. If you ever heard someone get lot of money from Adsense, that’s because their blog had a lot of visitors. Thousand visitor a day! And they’ve blogging for many many years.
So make sure you are working as much as your expectation to make that happen.
Okay! enough for now, hope this post useful and could help your blog get approval by Adsense.
Thanks for visiting my blog
Have a great day and always feel free to leave a comment
