When Windows 10 final release on July 29 2015 I was really exited to try out. And when I get the Windows 10 ISO and made the bootable DVD and install it on my machine everything seems to be just fine! And yeah I really like this OS, I do agree this is the best windows version ever.
Until I was start to installing some of drivers and softwares and reboot my PC a few times and I just realize that there is something wrong, the DVD Icon was vanish from File explore.
I have try anything to fix it but still the DVD icon want show up. I even reinstalling the windows in case if I am not install it correctly. But nothing change, the result is the same.
So I do some research and a lot of peoples having the same issue especially they who have you can say a bit old machine you know.
After browsing on some websites try to looking the solution and nothing was works until I found one tutorial that works, if i am not forgot I’ve got this trick from askvg.com website. And in this post I want to share about how to fix dvd drive icon not showing in windows 10. This issue also happen in Windows 8 & 8.1.
This is how to fix DVD Drive icon not showing issue (simple way)
Right click on Windows icon in task bar and choose Command Prompt (Admin)
When Command prompt window pop up copy and paste common line below and click Enter.
Restart PC and done!
After reboot the DVD icon now should show up in File Explorer.
